Slurry Pump Expeller
Slurry pump expeller is a dynamic component in centrifugal seal slurry pumps which has vanes to reduce the shaft pressure at the shaft seal area.
The principle of expeller seal is that the total pressure produced by the pump out vanes and the expeller is greater than the pressure generated by the impeller main vanes plus the inlet pressure.
Slurry pump expeller seal is unreliable if the suction head exceed 10% of the discharge head.
Slurry pump expeller are normally made in metal (cast iron or high chrome) or rubber, special material are also available.
